Interpretation between Dutch and French
Accurate, assured and fast interpretation between Dutch and French is critical to the success of any international business negotiation. However good your presentation in Dutch may be, your French language audience will be able to judge it only through the fluency and coherence of the interpretation they hear. International Translation Services have 25 years experience in selecting the best practitioners to meet specific Dutch to French interpretation requirements.
Interpretation between the Dutch and French languages can be provided in three different forms to suit particular situations.
Business/Liaison Language Interpretation
Interpretation between Dutch and French will be done more or less sentence by sentence, allowing a smooth interchange between those on both sides. The absence of a solid stream of speech makes the interpretation conversational and interactive, enabling questions, answers and clarification in both directions at any time. It is the ideal form of interpretation for business meetings, where both parties need to be satisfied they have been able to raise issues and had them addressed.
Dutch - French Consecutive Interpretation
Here the language interpreter will take notes in French while the speaker is speaking in Dutch. Only after the speaker has finished will the interpreter deliver the speech in French. Consecutive interpretation is mostly used for speeches or spontaneous talks which cannot be interrupted.
Simultaneous Interpretation between Dutch and French
The interpreter will deliver their French interpretation at the same time the speaker is speaking in Dutch, never more than a few words behind. Because two people are speaking at once, simultaneous interpretation is mainly used at large-scale venues such as conference centres or government buildings which have special facilities including booths and headphone systems. On a smaller, impromptu scale, simultaneous interpretation can be carried out by “whispering”.
Dutch - French Interpretation Requirements
Your French interpretation should be carried out politely, efficiently and unobtrusively. You are the person delivering the speech and making the decisions. Interpretation needs to be all but invisible to your French colleagues.
